Music by Björg performed by Björg on contrabass-flute, bassflute and other flutes with electronics.

The Cambrian (Kambríum is the Icelandic spelling) period lasted around 52 million years. During this time, most of the land on earth formed an enormous landmass that was surrouned by the Panthalassan sea.
In Kambríum, Björg creates an immersive soundscape. Wild flutes appear, they play fragments, maybe even melodies, but just as often sounds that harken back to a primordial time. Kambríum is improvised and spontaneous, adapting to the room where it is performed.
Kambríum was first performed in Düsseldorf in collaboration with Ben J. Riepe on May 25, 2025. The next performance is on January 23 in Reykjavík.
